This week saw the publication of a multi-lab manuscript describing the development of the natural products magnetic resonance database (www.np-mrd.org) that has been a major effort for our team over the past 18 months. We are delighted that our first collaborative paper with the Cech laboratory has just been published in the Journal of Natural Products. This paper looked at dataset variability between instruments for natural products analyses and provided a number of interesting observations about the sources of variability in different mass spectrometry platforms.
